Reflection ..
is an illusion
a creation of light
an imitation 
of what’s real
.. when it’s not
it goes away,
when the source
goes away too
yet …
your reflection in me
.. in my soul
is too real
too genuine
too authentic
so persistent
that it doesn’t
just fade away
even when you’re not around
you can be seen
you can be heard
in my eyes
in my words
it’s not quite a reflection
in fact …
I carry your soul
.. alongside mine
& I can no longer tell
which is which!
