I’m Tamer, a software engineer in terms of what I do for a living. It started as a hobby, turned to an education and then to a career. I still enjoy the little pieces of it.
When I’m not on my desk, my backpack takes me places. Most of the time I like to travel solo. The destination matters .. well sometimes, but the experience takes the lead. No new destination is a boring destination! I haven’t gone far away as I’d like to, but I’m working on it. My playground is Europe which I love almost every part of it. The borderless mixture of cultures is just mind-blowing!!
Beside wandering around, I’m a BIG fan of tennis since many years. I think I started watching when Roger & Rafa came into the picture. I had a shot on some training for a year of my life but not any more. I attend tournaments when they are close by. Such an amazing experience if you’re still thinking about it.
I’m an adrenaline junkie. I think it has something to do with sitting on the desk for long times. I need something strong enough to keep me in the matrix. Next stop is skydiving.
During Covid lockdowns, I picked cooking as a new hobby .. and I think I’m not a bad cook! I appreciate how you can create something tangible & tasty out of some time & energy investments. I think I miss that with software development. I won’t get along with the stuff around cooking itself like reorganizing the kitchen etc. Well everything has it’s pros & cons. I’m working on my older self’s plans to open a small restaurant by the seaside somewhere in Croatia, Spain or Italy.
Beside cooking, I’m trying to find my way with the piano. It’s an item on my bucket list long time ago, and now I have some time to invest there.
And finally when it comes to reading, I never know what’s coming beforehand. It all depends on my mood. Yet I find it fascinating to read about remarkable people from the past that changed the course of science & inventions. 2 of those are Nikola Tesla & Einstein. I admire them the most .. and Tesla is my all-time favorite. I believe he is the best inventor that came to the face of earth!
I started this blog to share some of my thoughts which I find a lot! Let’s say I wanted to do that since university time .. but now I have some time to bring it to life. I hope those thoughts have something interesting for someone out there!
